The new Wavves album due out in August. I downloaded the new single, "Post Acid", yesterday and it's been basically playing nonstop ever since. The sound's a lot more cleaned up as compared to the first 2 albums, which is sort of a positive.

New CDs!
I raid my library all the time for new CDs. My branch and library system in general has a really great selection and it's free. Free music is always good. I know not all libraries have such a great selection, but I encourage you to check it out. Here's what I got today:
Kid Cudi- Man on the Moon: End of the Day
Lou Reed- Berlin: Live at St. Ann's Warehouse
REM- And I Feel Fine... The Best of the IRS Years
Vampire Weekend- Contra (When it first came out I waited forever to get it, guess the hype has died down...)
Silversun Pickups- Carnavas
Perfect as Cats: A Tribute to the Cure

CD's I'm listening to now
Right now, the list looks like this:
Surfer Blood- Astro Coast:
This album is filled with infectious beach pop that perfectly sets the mood for summer. Every time I play it, it just gets me excited that it's summertime!
Killing Joke- Killing Joke:
A real classic. I really love the aggressive distorted guitars, great post-punk vibe, and the whole mood of the album. On a totally different end of the spectrum than the aforementioned album, but still a rewarding listen.
Suicide- A Way of Life:
Although I'm a bigger fan of their self-titled release, I still thoroughly enjoyed the more industrial tunes featured on A Way of Life. You won't find the repetitive, cheap drum machine on this album, but it's still a great listen for those interested in electronic or industrial music.
Black Grape- It's Great When You're Straight... Yeah:
Another great summer soundtrack! It's like a party on a CD. I see this being on repeat this whole summer.

Um, hey.
Well, this is my second attempt at writing a music blog. Hope this one doesn't fail. Happy House is basically where I'll share what I'm listening to at the current moment in my life and why you should listen to it too. I also plan on releasing a podcast that goes hand in hand with the blog; a 'virtual mixtape' if you will. Hope you enjoy.
